Splicing occurs when a finished roll size is larger than the size of one roll, or when a roll of masking being applied to other material runs out prior to the end of the material roll. There are two types of splicing, as follows:
Ø Butt Splicing:
Splicing material is placed as close as possible to original material without overlapping of the two materials.
Ø Overlap Splice:
Splicing material is placed over the original material. This method is used ONLY on rolls that will be processed in-house at Regal Graphics.
