Specialty Films - Single Polymer

PETG - Is the most common of the copolyesters. Its high gloss, transparency, and toughness make it an excellent choice for P.O.P. displays. Also this material is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration so it lends itself very well into the food container markets as well. Other manufacturing processes that PETG is utilized in is blister packaging, blow molding, and injection molding just to name a few.

Styrene - These sheets are used in a wide variety of applications including thermoforming, fabricating, printing (silk-screen, flexographic, lithographic, and register grade), high gloss, chemical resistance, moisture barriers, marbleized, pearlescent and two-color sheet. End uses of our styrene sheet include cosmetic displays and packaging, food and medical trays, back-lit signs, carrying cases, and horticulture trays. Styrene is extremely versatile, and its relatively low cost makes it ideal for a wide range of applications.

Komatt - Komatt is a specially manufactured Copolymer that has a texture on one side that has the look of a velvet textured surface. Applications for the use of Komatt are but not limited to mouse pads, business cards, and counter mats.

PETG
Copolyester 6763, PETG, because of its clarity, toughness and good melt strength at processing temperatures, it is useful in a variety of processing techniques including film and sheet extrusion. PETG may be colored using color concentrates, dry colors or liquid colorants.

Styrene
Styrene monomer and the styrene resin made from the monomer remained as chemical curiosities for 80 years following their discovery in 1845. It wasn’t until 1925 when commercial productions of styrene monomer began in Germany and the United States that polystyrene attracted interest. Today, polystyrene is the third largest volume plastic and certainly one of the two or three plastics that consumers know best. As a family, polystyrenes are characterized by hardness, excellent dielectric properties, and ease of processing. Products made of most polystyrene grades hold their dimensions well under conditions of normal use, but should not be exposed to continued outdoor use. Most foods, drinks and usual household acids, oils, alcohol, vinegar, have no effect on polystyrene, but the general run of polystyrenes are affected by citrus fruit rind oil, cleaning fluids, gasoline, turpentine and nail polish and remover. However, it is difficult to characterize polystyrenes since one of their advantages is that they can be tailored to provide a wide range of mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties.

Komatt
Komatt is a specially manufactured Co-Polymer that has a texture on one side that has the look of a velvet textured surface. This has opened the door to many exciting applications where Lexan® may be an over achiever or where vinyl may not be enough of a substrate. Applications for the use of Komatt are but not limited to mouse pads, business cards, and counter mats.
